Advisory Board Chair
David served as Creighton’s University Archivist from January 2007 to April 2021, although as a faculty spouse he had been a part of the Creighton community since 1995. As University Archivist, he was responsible for archival, rare books and special collections, as well as for a Heritage Edition of The Saint John’s Bible on loan to Creighton. David decided to leave Creighton to assist others with historical, archival, cultural and various artistic projects. He is now the Executive Director of Policoro Consulting LLC, helping organizations, institutions and individuals to present and preserve their history and culture. With over a quarter century’s experience as a historian, archivist and consultant, David draws on his expertise and his professional network to work to achieve a variety of preservation and presentation goals. Policoro helps with museum galleries and exhibits; archives policies and procedures; digitization; strategic planning; facilities design; programming; and much more.
David has been married to his wife, Sue, since 1990. They have two sons, one a graduate of Fordham and the other a graduate of University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He enjoys birdwatching, playing soccer, music and comedy.
