Maorong Jiang, Ph.D
Co-President
Dr. Maorong Jiang serves as a Commissioner for the Nebraska State Asian American Affairs Commission (appointed by the Governor on June 13, 2024) and as Co-President of the Nebraska World Affairs Council. A tenured associate professor of Political Science and International Relations at Creighton University, Dr. Jiang founded the Asian World Center in 2005 and co-directed its East-West Studies (EWS) Master’s Degree Program.
Dr. Jiang earned his Master’s degree in Asian Religions and served as a visiting fellow at the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM) for three years. He completed his Ph.D. in Political Science at UHM, specializing in Future Studies. Since 2004, he has been a member of Creighton University’s faculty. -
