Honorary Chair
The Honorable Robert Evnen serves as Nebraska’s Secretary of State. In that capacity, he is Nebraska’s Chief Protocol Officer for international relations and trade. He promotes foreign investment in Nebraska and, as a diplomat for the State, he promotes Nebraska’s agricultural concerns, industries, commercial entities, and services.
Prior to serving as Secretary of State, Mr. Evnen was a distinguished attorney, practicing labor and employment law for more than 40 years. He was a partner with Woods & Aitken LLP, a Nebraska-based law firm, for 32 years. In addition, he served for eight years on the Nebraska State Board of Education.
Secretary Evnen is one of three members of the powerful Board of Pardons in the State of Nebraska. Moreover, in his position as Secretary of State, Evnen serves on numerous boards and oversees state elections.
Secretary Evnen is a graduate of Michigan State University (BA) and the University of Southern California (JD).
